How do I know if this is the right time?
We work with students in year 10 or 11. Most students stay with us for a whole academic year.
It is possible to start at any point in the academic year. Jacob has a 1-2-1 session with each new student to ensure they have not missed out in any way.
How do the group sessions work?
Students are placed in a group at a similar level/ability. The lessons are on Zoom and students do not have to be on camera, but can unmute as well as answer questions in the chat.
We don't have a fixed number. Instead, if the group is above around 10-15, I will have other tutors in the group with me acting as teaching assistants. I teach the lesson and they help to answer questions.
Which exam boards/Literature texts is this for?
Jacob is experienced with all the major exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Eduqas/WJEC, and Edexcel/Pearson iGCSE.
90% of the content is the same. Where there are differences, we will make sure this is 100% clear.
We have extensive resources on the major texts including Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, A Christmas Carol, Jekyll & Hyde, An Inspector Calls, Blood Brothers, and many more!
The course focuses mainly on the fundamental skills common to all texts.
